The kids are doing extremely well in their new school. In fact, the prince came home today all bubbly because some of his classmate are doing more performance things and it is celebrated. A classmate got the lead in a production of Nutcracker and others are doing various things. At the previous school, none of this type of activity was recognized. This place appears to be a much better fit for him prompting more mother guilt of the ‘why didn’t I do this sooner’ variety. Yeah yeah I know. Don’t go down that path.The princess is doing equally as well. Last week when we missed the new family social the princess noted it wasn’t like we were really new anymore after all! Ha!
I got 24 hours to myself last weekend. The prince was at Harmony Camp east of Sacramento and I have a friend in Sacramento so I went a-visiting and he went a-singing. Got to see a movie and no one called me mom for a day! The break was nice but less needed because the kids are so happy in their new environment they’ve actually been getting along. Who knew.
