Hopefully now that we’ve got the toys we will be motivated to actually finish the garage project that has been going on entirely too long. On the list to do yet tonight is go to home depot for the garage carpet and cabinets. Then, if we can get the carpet down tonight, I can get to fancying up the play side of the room. Husband will have to build the shelves and workbench to get the other side completed. We might actually have out family room back by the end of the weekend but I’m not holding my breath. (Currently the family room is garage storage. Lovely.)

I’ve told the prince he can have a mini party to christen the room once it is all done. I really do hope that this ends up being the hang out spot for him and his friends. That is definitely part of the purpose of doing it. I’m going to put an old microwave oven out there and we already have a fridge in there so that can just stay stocked with sodas and such and it should be a fun hang out place for friends. And husband and I are thinking once we get everything put back, we need to have a party too…adults like ping pong and foosball!
