We went to the i Modonnari festival at Mission Santa Barbara last weekend. It is some Italian chalk drawing festival that is held there every year. Local vendors, schools and families/people purchase a section of blacktop and then put a chalk drawing in it. Lots of schools and businesses had their kids/employees doing the drawings but some had real artists who made the drawing. It was quite the big deal and amazing what these folks could do with chalk
