Actually I’d been thinking about it for awhile and on Friday I finally just dug in. And boy what a process it was. I’ve got a bunch of very heavy office furniture and so I had to put it on rugs to move it around. And some of it had to leave…these big corner desks I had only took up so much space … they were great when we had the gigantic monitors but now the desktop has a flat screen monitor and my computer is a laptop, we just didn’t need them anymore. It is so roomy in here now…I’ll post pics when it is done.

I’ve been a decluttering fool. A few more boxes to go through and this office will be tip top shape. The trick will be if I can manage to keep it that way. Sort of like on Clean Sweep…I’d love for a follow up show where they go back to the homeowners in six weeks and see what the rooms looked like.

I’ve also been decluttering the kids’ rooms. Five bags of goodwill stuff came out of the prince’s room over the last two weeks and bunches more have been thrown away. The princess has even gotten rid of two bags of stuff and for her that is amazing and she is the save everything girl. Her room still needs more work but we’re getting there.

The next big project is the garage. We’ve almost got everything out if it (amazing that…and more amazing is what was in there. This week my job is to find someone to frame an attic/celing in there, then we’ll wire it and insulate it and then sheetrock it. And ta da, we’ll have a play room.

What fun. Now if I could just devote more time to my home improvement jobs, I’d be set. But I suppose looking for employment of some for will help the home improvement jobs too. Wouldn’t it be fun to be wealthy? I think I’d love it.
