Yes. Where were we? Oh yeah, I was complaining about the weather. No surprise there.

After a few days of sun and actually making a dent in the post holiday mess my house had become, I’m feeling much better. Now if I can get my sleeping habits back, I’ll be back in control. And of course, that control will be short lived because son has auditioned for a play. He’ll get something and depending on what, that will determine how busy/crazy we will be for the next two months.

~~

We had a quiet New Years Eve. What is now becoming a tradition is for us to just hang out as a family and rent and watch two movies. And stay up until midnight. So that is what we did only the prince and I couldn’t make it until midnight. We conked out at 11:45. But the princess was desperate to stay up until midnight so she could see the brand new for 2004 That’s So Raven. She convinced her dad that was something he wanted to do so while the prince and I were blissfully sleeping, they stayed up until midnight thirty.

New Years Day didn’t get much more exciting. It took me three hours to pack away the ornaments from the tree because I was busy watching TLC’s Clean Sweep.

Slugs are us.

The deposition from hell? Wednesday. Keep your fingers crossed that it actually happens.

I’ve applied for a job. I sent my resume off last Friday and I’ve still not heard anything. Of course, a very good friend says I’m nuts for worrying so soon that they won’t call but I think if they can’t figure out I’m perfect for the job (as it was described) after one day, then they’ve written me off.

And I don’t even know the company because it was a blind ad on craigslist. But the job description practically listed me by name. Tricia Call Us. You’re the One.

But even if nothing happens with this job it did get me to finish my resume. Finish resume had been number one on every to do list I’ve made for the past year and I’d just keep transferring the item on list after list. So I suppose that is one good thing. But sheesh, how can they not call me.

The kids were GRUMPY today. I hate the first day back to school. Their schedule is so messed up and by the end of being good all day, they are little hellions when I get them again. This morning I was all…gee I love my kids and smiling when I dropped them off. When I picked them up this afternoon I could only count the hours to bed time. In fact, it is almost bedtime now. Yeah.

On that exciting note I think I’ll end this babbling entry. Get my jammies on and take over the t.v. once they are in bed. (Yeah, I know, it sounds like all we do is watch t.v., so?). Here’s to a smashing 2004. (Surely they'll call me, don't you think?)
